Why Women Like cats more and Men like dogs more ?!

Why women prefer cats to dogs and men prefer dogs to cats ? Ok not everyone but still the majority. Any ideas why is it ?

Maybe it's because women are confident enough to not need fawning unconditional love but can handle rejection better than men.

You've got to be pretty good at handling rejection if you spend much time around cats.

 

Coz dogs are loyal and cats are not ?

Because cats are "cute and cuddly" and dogs are usually "big and rough".

Cats are easier to take care of because they are more independent.

 

Totally agree here. I think this is the main reason why women love cats and men love dogs.

Cats aren't cute and cuddly. Small dogs are cute and cuddly; cats are too ready with their claws to be cute and cuddly.

 

It's probably a matter of how your personality meshes with the animal's personality. Dogs tend to have a different type to cats. Although, sometimes you get a dog or cat who tends to display a similar type personality to the opposite animal! Maybe more women empathise with a cats nature, more men with a dog's. But it's not always so.

In fact, most of the men I know are actually "cat people"... don't really know that many "dog people" at all. (Well, there are people who live around the area who have dogs, so possibly are dog people, but don't know them well) Most of them like dogs too, but prefer cats. We have both, but only one person out of 4 in the household of 3 males/1 females prefers dogs. Both my parents prefer cats, don't have dogs. My sister and brother and all their families prefer cats, don't have dogs.


Different strokes for different folks I guess.

 

ive heard cats like 2 lick the jam with their little tongues, unlike big dogs.(if u know what i mean)

I am a man but I prefer cats over dogs. They don't require much attention compared to pooches.

 

i hate the idea of keeping a pet.

Those pet lover also say how much they love their pet. However, they took their pet away from their mother, put their pet in a cage, play with their pet when they feel like it.

Imagine that you have no parent, no friend and no freedom...it is so sad, animal are not suppose to have a life like that, they are not a toy

 

Not always. cats and dogs are domestic animals they like to live among humans. This would be ture if you try to keep a tiger or deer they would rather prefer to be in jungle.

It may be because of weather. Cat is feminine and Dog is masculine
