How to place ads on my forum!

my forum is talkdamages.com and I want to put an adsense banner between each of my forum catagories. Like This :

Catagory : The Site
AD
Damages: Season One
AD
Lounge

I use phpbb3. Where do I insert the code for adsense, and through what? my file manager editor? (i use cpanel btw.)

 

there should be header and footer template files, just look in your template folder for the files and edit them, i think their extensions are tml - havent used phpbb in a long time lol

 

I tried this, there are multiple files with header or footer in them. On top of that when I tried to implant it, the main page got screwed up.

 

mine doing try and error at http://upnm.net/forum ..but i simply type any word like "testing 123" save and view where the word will appear..then when you found the desire ads placing simply copy and paste your ads code..then view..tada.. usually people just edit footer.php, header.php thanks, syam

I set them up and they look great. The only issue is I went to PhPbb.com and someone had found the perfect color scheme to border your ads. I custom put this into my adsense code. My only concern is that this is not the code that Adsense pasted for me when they gave me the code.

Can I get banned for this?

 

What you could do is use the "inline banner mod" specific to phpBB.
Not sure if anyone has modded it for ver. 3 yet.
It puts an ad unit after the first post in every thread.

 

I used to edit the PHP files up til a couple weeks ago, but found it much easier to edit the other file, I can't think of the name, someone mentioned TML? I'd look it up for you, but I just got a new computer and didn't save the PHPBB stuff.

 

you must edit your templates files but i believe phpbb forums may be a better solution for you
