Does anybody know when zelune.net will be back up completely? I've heard that cgi proxy uses a lot of resources and that phpproxy won't let you login to sites so zelune sounds like a good script. If phpproxy won't even let you login to sites like myspace how come it is so much more popular then zelune?

 

I am also interestedt in Zelune Proxy, can anonybody tell us more about this script ?

It's a little more complicated than that.
Myspace just made some changes that mean phproxy won't login at all. It did before.
phproxy has never been as good as cgi proxy for logins but 0.5b2 of phproxy did alot better.

I'd be very suprised if anyone can really notice a difference between zelune and phproxy for bandwidth consumption.

You must not know anything about this since putting proxy in your domain would be the last thing you want to do. Proxy in a domain will get your domain filtered...

Yes, as I said before, there are pros and cons. Most filters block the word filter (schools/work/country) but you do get points for SEO.

If you Google 'unblock myspace' - all but ONE of the links contains the word proxy in the URL.

You can insert ads on proxified pages by putting your code in nph.proxy ofcourse but I toally forget where exactly. If I remember I'll post back.

so what are the advantages of having cgi over php? i heard cgi takes up a lot of BW...

also is there a way you can see current stats with adversal instead of waiting a full month?

 

The main concern with cgi is server resources and load. Not bandwidth.

I'm not sure why you think you need to wait a month to see your adversal stats. It's right on the main page after you login.
Stats are updated nightly around 2-3am.

 

for some reason its showing up in months and well ihave it up on like 10 sites and well im still stuck at 12 cents and i know those sites are pulling at least 500 uniques a day. is this normal?

It shows up in months but you will notice it go up a little every day around the time I mentioned. (If you earned anything)

cgi proxy is much less attractive now that there are some good php scripts being developed.
Alot of stuff that only cgi could do before can now be done with others.
