Mine was banned sometime back, and I am pretty sure that many will get banned in this current ban fiesta.

Is there a possibility to unban your site at digg?

Thanks for the heads up. Although I never did trades. I mainly did it to post a new article I wrote to a brand new site I built. I figure it was a way to drive in some traffic or what not.

maybe if you didn't digg crap articles on your site, you wouldn't get banned, ever think about that?

Spend your efforts creating good content, and then you wouldn't even need a digg account, as someone will enjoy it and digg it for others automatically. I have never had a digg account, yet i continually get digg traffic. Coincidence? I think not.

sure you can open a new account but the problem with me is that the domain was blocked.

not sure but i just sent them an email and trying my luck

Other than me getting a few extra digs from the trade my content is all original tutorials with nothing affiliated or that type of spam so I'm surprised why they banned me.

My content was good original tutorials for gimp and alot of people digged it on their own and featured on many blogs as well so i wouldnt call it crap and no need to be a smart ass.

it might be because i dug other peoples stuff that had spam crap in them? that could be the reason.

This has been talked about on here MANY times before. It shouldn't be news to anyone here that digg trades can get you and your domain banned.

Very True. As in the last cycle of bans, it took only a week before the "digg me" threads started again. So will the cycle continue this time.

Anyways, for those interested in the first lot of digg bans - read http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=105564

I really don't understand how Digg can ban domains. Diggs wasn't even intended soley for webmasters to post their own sites, but more definately users of the internet to post interesting stories, articles and webpages they find on the net.

So if I was to digg some stories from Googles Blog, or a video on Youtube... Or how about a game from Miniclip, and then participated in some blatent Digg trades and got my account banned, they would ban Google, Youtube and Miniclip too?

Google, youtube, etc don't go out and ask that their story be dugg. You guys are putting up a site, then blatantly asking people to digg your stories not on the merrit of the story, but because you are exchanging diggs with another person. It's not hard for digg to find these posts in a public forum and ban the people responsible.

mods should Sticky this up so people doesn't bother trading if there is a risk in getting banned.

Why should the mods have to sticky something that should be common sense? You are artificially altering diggs system by posting digg exchanges. Of course digg isn't going to want that to take place.

I got my account banned too a while ago. It sucks but there is no way to get back in with the same domain name once it has been blocked.
    You can use redirect.

    Hey

Do you mean digging your own site? How many times did you do it to get banned?
