How to get more myspace traffic!

I'm writing my first article here on DP for myspace owners, and how you can increase your traffic to your myspace site, as well as other site if they cater to the myspace industry.

1: Increase your friends list - this can be done via various methods, using search, friend bots, or whore trains; also known as "Friend trains". They work by you add your friend ID, and post a bulletin to your myspace friends. You can also increase your friends list by adding everyone from the whore train. Ride the whore is a pretty good myspace train if you're looking for one.

2: Send out bulletins, and comments. Bulletins are simple, but make them catchy so your friends will want to look at them - don't make a stupid one that won't catch the user's attention, but make one that'll make them want to come, such as: "OMG NEW MYSPACE", something along those lines might help increase your chances of blowing up in the myspace industry.

3: Offer your users something unique - if you create a new feature, such as; generators, and/or layouts that no other myspace site offers, then you're in a whole new league. Make sure to keep updating your myspace site, but do not open up until your myspace site is fully ready, and able to be launched and spread among all the myspace users!

4: Offer a ton of graphics, with a link back code that goes back to the page, or your homepage - with your focused link anchor. Good for SEO, as well as getting your myspace site out there!

That's all I have for now, but if you have any other things to add to this, then feel free to do so! :)

I think the problem with whoring is that you're less likely to generate interest from those people that add you from them? I have like 45K on my main acct but I hear from maybe a dozen of them! and 1/2 of those I know personally!!

guess it depends what you are trying to promote!

Well, if you're trying to market using your friends list, then you really don't need to talk to them, right?

    Nice article!

Just started to run a website offering myspace comments codes.

But there are many limits, for example, the daily limit of adding friends is around 400, sending comments has random validation.

I think they are biggest challenges, and don't know how to sort it out.

is the limit still 400? it seems myspace would have shaved that number down to 55 bu now seeing how strict they have become

Nice article. Only problem is reaching the right people. Most of MySpace is full of spams.

Limit the daily friend requests to just 100 or your account will be deleted. Maybe your option is to create multiple myspace accounts.

    Thanks timsdd.

I'm curious how could those myspace sites succeed, for example, coolmyspacecomments, Alexa ranked 3578, you could find their graphic comments everywhere on myspace.

There are so many limits, then they need a huge amount of profiles to send the comments. How did they do?

They do it via bulletins - and having their site's keywords in their graphics code.
