yah true, i have used top site about 1 month, i dont really get traffic.
so i took off all those logo and banner.
can anyone suggest me how to get traffic for proxy site as im new into this

 

i think the biggest problem is, most proxy sites are blocked by their phpproxy script detection filters .

actually the cgi script is blocked too, the reason i found this out is, I work for bestbuy, all their system has online filtering . they have their own filtering process to block all proxy sites .

none of my CGI/PHPProxy are accessible, however if i turn those site pages into regular html page... it became accessible.. I believe they block the script rather the domain.

 

Anyone know about happyproxy?

 

there are happy proxy, glype proxy ,Zelune I wonder if happy proxy will work, since it is still phpproxy with Curl

 

Topsites are just good when you have good traffic and want to make it better

there is no point of submitting to topsites unless you have the traffic to get you to 1st-5th spot in the top site

Interesting thread.

I'm playing around with a proxy. I put it at yigber.com/p

It's running several days and traffic is at 200 u/visitors a day (earning practically nothing).

Got a few questions:

Anyone figure out how to improve adsense targeting ? I saw a few threads in DP talking about this that concluded that it's not possible cause content is dynamic and adsense bot can't index it, but on the other hand, there are a few sites out there (not proxies) that have been able to target their ads for dynamic content, like linkedin.com that somehow gets adsense to be targeted at what you specified in your linkedin profile.

Bottom line - is adsense allowed or not or proxy sites ? don't want to get my account banned ..

Has anybody run proxies on bluehost.com / 1and1.com ? Anybody get their account banned and shut due to running a proxy ?

BTW what method did you use to promote your proxy?

 

i used topsite, its waste of time if you dont have atleast minimum 1k unique per day. i have advertise and bulletin and stuff.
but unfortunatly i cant go more than 100 unique per day, lol i gave up.

If you have an established proxy please consider submitting it to my proxy topsite. Like they said it only works good if you have good traffic as you will rank in the best spots.

 

Adsense is allowed on proxy homepage's but occasionally decided to ban or fine people because of "click faud" which has never been proven. I was banned for this so called click fraud and lost $4,000 from one month earnings. I noticed this mostly happens with big proxies and the fining usually happens with smaller ones. Although really nobody knows what Google's plan or internal rules are.

I use Revenue Science for homepage but they no longer accept proxies.

i have heard that most of the proxies that are submitted in proxy.org
are banned from google adsense
they told me that some clicking scripts are targeting proxies in that proxy.org box


am not sure whether its true or not
but many proxy.org customers are talking about this
