I think topsites are not the best investment unless you go with the most popular one (i.e. proxy.org). I tried one proxy topsite: paid $8 for a month and was supposed to get 800-1000 visitors. I think I only got a tenth of that.
Even if get get on a topsite, your proxy risks getting banned faster since administrators scan these websites to find proxy URL's and ban them.

I doubt you can get such a deal
You'll probably need a minimum of $8 to get that although I paid $14

Regarding newsletters, I think some of them have to rethink their pricing model, because, for example, some have this "points" model:

    1.-20
    2.-16
    3.-8
    4.-4
    5.-2

And they all have almost the same visibility, so all people get the last spot and others are left empty or filled by the newsletter owner with their proxies.

    I'd rather use something like

    1.-10
    2.-7
    3.-5
    4.-3
    5.-2

That would be more fair for everyone. What do you think?

and whats your suggestion for my service?!
promotion method (just 1 or Max 2 emails a day _these days we are just sending 1 email per day_)

i think in this way customers would have better results
cause they are the owner of all links and they get %100 of the traffic of the 11000(+7000 now) proxy users newsletter

    any suggestions?

Stats from the past week of my newest proxy network. This is the network that uses Hagiohost shared hosting, since it's a newer one.

If you decide to try Hagiohost, PM me for a refer link, and I'll give you some tips if you ever need help with marketing in return.

When people say that their proxy gets blocked...who is doing this blocking?

Individual schools/work places? That doesn't necessarily mean that it is the end of the proxies lifespan...

Quite simply you can't. What you can do is try to make is less detectable but the blocking softwares are getting better all the time. Some things that you can do is don't use templates, make your own custom, careful with keywords, obfuscate html etc.

    Hi,
    I am new to proxies.

I would like to make some money with proxies.
Very nice to see all you guys coming out with idea's and your experience.

I like to know few basic details,

How much bandwidth and space do I need to have a proxy running?

Also will you guys please let me know a basic proxy hosting with minimum expenditure, so that I can learn from it and move further for a bigger budget.
At a start I wish to experiment this myself with minimum expenditure. and how much do I got to spend for now.

    Cheers.

Log into your VPS using an SSH client, i.e putty and type the command:

    cat /proc/user_beancounters

This will show a matrix of your VPS resources, limits and fail counts. Your fail count column is the number of times a resource has been exhausted. This will tell you what your problem is.
