I've been using IE7 almost 100% of the time. The odd time I use Firefox still. Having said that I did use firefox more when IE6 was out and IE7 just came out as it was causing me problems

Yep, I use IE7 about 85% of the time.

I used to use FF, but since IE got tabs I've been using it mostly. It took a while to get used to having basic buttons (home, print, etc) on the right side instead of the left, but I don't have to think about it any more.

While I generally despise Microsoft, FF just doesn't render a lot of sites correctly. Actually that's probably inaccurate. FF probably renders exactly as programmed, which really reveals design errors. IE is much more forgiving.

I'll only use IE if I have to, i.e. checking out my sites to see if they work properly in IE.

While the fast thing is ok, Firefox devs etc themselves acknowledge that there is a memory issue with Firefox which is something they have been fixing for a while now. If you look at other threads here on DP, you will see Firefox users mention the memory leak issues as well.

Just as an info though: Opera is still the fastest browser right now.

True. When it comes to a lot of codes developers still create IE only pages although some no nonesense sites create FF only pages and tell you to download or leave it.

Its stupid that they create page only for FF many people use only IE if they are going to gear a page toward FF they should also make it able to run in IE or the other way around also

Exactly. It proves that some people do not have good marketing skills. As much as I dislike Apple and Mozilla I would make sure my apps are optimized to them.

I also see it stupid that webmasters design Websites only for one platform. This is an example of bad design, this website is Windows + IE only.

    http://www.occidentalhotels.com

    Go enter with Apple Safari
Go enter with Windows + Firefox
    Go enter with Linux

Well I can see why they would do IE only. After all it is the standard. I would not do that though. On the other hand FF only would be stupid because it still is no where near a real competitor to IE although it is getting there.

Microsoft IE does not follow W3C standards like the rest of the browsers do (Firefox, Opera, Safari). Lots of webmasters (with old IE5/6 1997-2002 mentality) still like use "Microsoft Proprietary" code like Active-X code and keep using it, that now is bad design to any current website.

The time for IE only websites have come to an END and WebMasters MUST design using W3C standards and not IE only code.

So does IE. In fact IE has become synonymous with HTML and CSS.
