Low CTR - Please review my placement

My blog is http://www.nethustlin.com . This week I had 13,000 impressions and 4 clicks. I'm pretty sure this is low compared to other sites. I don't have too many options on where to put adsense in my site, because the layout is pretty simple. Please review my placement and tell me what I can do to improve the CTR. Thanks in advance :)

I'm a fan of your blog and subscribe to your feed. You may want to try putting an ad at the end of each post. Create a new channel for it to track performance. I bet it will be more effective than the ads on the right side.

Here you have an idea, but you also may try crazyegg.com or similar to see where do people click, navigate etc... and then decide where is the best place for making adsense ads get maximum audience.

That placement looks great. I think i'm going to do that once I figure out how to tweak the code. Thanks for the advice

I changed my ad placement. Please tell me if it looks good and not to over-crowded. Thanks :)

I would recommend you add adsense as part of the article contents which will definitely boost your CTR. Currently you have only one unit at the right. Blend with another unit with articles, you should see good results.

    Good Luck :)

A large rectangle is the best performing ad unit there is and is especially good in blog posts. You shouldn't have removed it. I think you need to focus on improving the relevancy of your ads. Ads about telescopes don't make sense in an article about e-books. Google for "adsense irrelevant ads" for some tips.

The ads in that picture are just an example of where I can place my ads. The picture isn't real. You're right about getting the ads in blog posts, its too bad I don't know how to do it

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to thank Jocs for that picture... I did what you said and my CTR has increased a lot in the past two months. Thanks :)
