any ways to improve my site so that Mr. Google comes next time and removes my smartpricing ??

 

Smart Price happens when clicks from your site doesn't convert well for the advertiser so your clicks get much less cpc.

There no way to get around this at least for proxies. usually you can get around that by tweaking your content (for sites offering text content) so ads become so relative to the content and visitors who click the ads make use of the service the advertiser is offering.

yeah Godaddy offers some discounts for bulk registration. But don't know the exact discount.

Anybody interesting in taking over on of my 50 site networks for me and doing some promotion for it

you can put what ever ads you want on the proxified pages e.g. adbrite, adversal etc

i get the adsense and you get the proxified pages

i pay hosting and the domain etc

Interesting. My proxy I just set up yesterday just got a burst of 345 page impressions (on the front page) but no clicks? Does adsense take a little bit for clicks to register. The site is internetninja.info. I'm considering swapping out the one ad bar below the URL box for a widgetbucks box. No ads on proxified pages at this moment, since I didn't want to slow them down. Wasn't really sure about how to set up an adbrite campaign either.

Any tips would be appreciated.

 

Adsense can take a little while for the clicks to register, I tend to find that clicks update in batches. I would check your stats and see where the traffic is from. It might be Iranian/Chinese, in which case you will most likely hardly get any clicks. The general consensus is to ban Chinese/Iranian traffic as it is abusive and wont earn you anything.

I'll double check but the .htaccess should be blocking them (I hope I set that up right, first setup was a little rough). I'll keep an eye on it though.

At the fear of sounding like more of an idiot, what is the best method for analyzing visitor location. I remember an easy script buried somewhere in the last 1000 posts, but I can't find it.

This thread had a great start with proxy owners helping each other... but lately it has becoming a place to advertise and general chat for proxy owners.

Jarmas your forum dosen't work right in Opera, can't see the thread titles (white font), also your forum looks like the proxy-talk forum which seems to be mia for over a week now.

 

Yeap proxy-talk was using a free skin from mybb themes. I will get my coder to work on it in dispalying well in opera later. Thanks for letting me know!

I like that skin alot and offered to buy over proxy-talk 2 weeks ago. But it seems like their site got hacked and their webmaster couldnt care to do anything about it so I would just set up our own proxy forum.

i'm not 100% sure but i've read somewhere that websense doesn't block websites that have https (SSL i think). I'm not sure if it would get a blocked website unblocked, but we definitely need to do more research on this topic (potentially millions of ppl can be blocked off from these major blocking companies).
