    Hello everyone,

My friend (who is to shy to sign up to DP :( ) Would like to know what you all think of her placement. Is it within the TOS?

I've told her yes... as you can clearly tell the "header title" is not associated with the ad.

    Find picture below.

I believe it's ok , but if she want to be 100% shore, she may move the ads block down with one or two rows.

It's Ok!! ~ No Problem at all ~ adding ads b/w the posts are Legal and i'm sure that there won't be any problem with this kind of Placement ... am using this kind of placement since 3 years -- I never faced any problem due to this issue! However if you are adding the adsense code within the post then it can make problem for you because google's script will access google server while your site is opened in some feed aggregator (bloglines and blah blah) ..though a lot of folks don't think about it and go with this kind of placement -- Never heard any Problem about this kind of placement (ad code with in the Post)

On this one I'd be inclined to ask Google directly. There is a line separating the ads from the All Natural Vitamins title, BUT with the title being left-aligned it might be interpreted as referring to the ad-block and not to the article. One option would be to center the title which would make it appear partly over the ad-block and partly over the start of the article, in which case I don't think there would be any problem at all with TOS.

As it stands now, it's "iffy" Remember the images next to ads situation where Google makes it clear that a simple line separating the ad from the image is NOT sufficient. IF that applies in this case, then the placement of the title could get your friend into a bit of hot water. I'd mock up two pages, one the way it is now, the other with it centered and submit them to Google for their opinion. If she does that, I'd be grateful to learn their response.

My point exactly. When i see the picture, my first reaction is, the links bellow the title and line are related to the titled, they are subtitles, and this is a little bit misleading.

She won't email google, and doesn't want me to either lol. She thinks they'll ban her... although she doesn't have an ad code on the page yet...

What I told her to do was add a line or 2 of text in above the block...

    Think that will suffice?

    EDIT:
Keep in mind she is NOT trying to 'cheat' adsense or break any of the TOS. She is just a newbie to adsense and wants the best placement for her ads.

Sounds like she's legit, just a bit paranoid as are about 95% of the people in adsense...fearful of a ban because of what they keep reading in these forums :( If there is no adsense on the pages and perhaps a dummy placeholder image where the ad would be for the two mock-ups and she were to email google asking about the placement being in TOS (saying that the pages weren't even live) there is practically no chance they would ban her...I've done this at least a half dozen times in the past asking their advice. They always get right back to me and in all cases have been okay with my placements.

If she is still afraid to do this. Some normal-size text above the ad (text that goes all the way across the page, not just above the ad!) or moving the title to the center (which would be my choice) should suffice.
