Adsense on emails? OK?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by Alevoor, Nov 7, 2007.

After reading so much about adsense's TOS and how not to get banned, I am still not clear whether it is ok to place adsense on emails. I am not going to send emails in bulk; I don't have a opt-in list too.

In fact it is my plan to use it on emails occasionally on my emails to a limited circle in my inbox. But would like some qualified advice on this.

    Thanks in advance.

No, we are not allowed to put AdSense into emails. AdSense is for content pages only

    I agree.
Adsense is not a signature or a greeting card to put on email.

adsense on email people would immediately create networks of cheaters.

but may be one day G may think about a new version of CPA referral ads on mails - since it pays per actual sale it is a different story and no way to fake a sale is a sale ( or action=action) no matter how achieved.

but the key point for a ll such future ad versions is the ability for G to directly control its full content to avoid any legal complications for itself.

we all are making such huge adsense for content $ that there needs to be an end how much more we want to earn and where simple greed starts.

Most people have Javascript/images disabled in emails;. This wouldn't work anyways even if it were allowed.

Yes! greed knows no end once started. It is for the publishers to see the line separating the need from greed.

My question was only out of curiosity of having not seen an adsense in any of the zillions of email news letters.
Thanks pal. You summed it up very aptly.
    Thanks to all of you.
