Desi Video Sharing Site - very LOW per click rate

    Hello guys,

    it may sound like another cry of "why I get paid so low per click?"

    but infact it is more than that..I have been running video sharing site for desi people (south asians) and in the start I was getting good income per click but this smart thing has brought my income down sharply for last 6 months.

    will you believe I get about 20k impressions and just 120 clisk per day to make $5.

    it does not even cover the cost of the server as i have to have high bandwith.

    I hired a professional to help me with ad placements and the best CTR we could get was 1.80.

    please review my site and let me know what can i do to increse the CTR and per click price.

    Hi there,

    Nice site. Obviously with Indian traffic you're going to be paid a whole lot less than a site with American traffic, but you can work around this by improving CTR. To do this I think you should change the colors of the ad units to red or something that will stand out from your site's green theme. Also, place an ad unit in between the Recently Viewed and Today's Featured Videos boxes. An ad unit that's placed directly where the visitor will be looking will attract more clicks.

    Wow's ya work on that. I have a site that gets 600 visitors a day and making about 7 bucks adsense with a 9.2% CTR doing it.

    thanks guys for your suggestions...some just pm me tht I should try different channels for differnt ads to monitor which ad i makine me more money.

    i get 20k page impressions per day man...still earning $5 in adsense...$5 in fast click and $2 in CPX just paying the server cost :(

    i have made different channels for differnt ads....i m monitoring them for last 10 hours and its seems that ads on the video page get the most clicks and make most of money..

    will keep you posted about changes...

    Instead of a 428 ad above Free Stuff, try a 728 5-link ad with the white background. For the 160 wide, try turning it grey/white to match the category tab style of the page. Use standard hyperlink blue color for the links. /Best
