Digg Effectiveness

Is it best to get a large quantity of Diggs all at once or is it as effective to build over an extended period of time? I have 46 Diggs on the link below but it's over a period of two months.

best is large quantity of diggs within first 24 hours

Due to the way digg works youll never make the home page this late in the game.

It seems like you have just over 24 hours to make the homepage. So logically you want a whole bunch of diggs asap

 

after 24 hours of submitting your link, your article wont get to the front page

To show up on Digg's homepage, you need to amass a critical number of diggs within a certain amount of time. Otherwise, it will even dispappear from the upcoming pages or burried deep. Just work on you next creation and forget the old one.

 

Well try to get at least 60 diggs in 10 hours(sometimes if a story is liked by Digg members you can get 60 diggs in 2 hours easily). And if you are in upcoming then definetly your story will become popular..but if it gets buries, your story is gone deep inside and no chances of coming on homepage.

Digg is best to get quality backlinks with good PR. Digg brings about 20000-40000 or even more visitors in the first day and the second day it lowers to around 9000-10000.

I have tasted the Digg homepage about 8 times or more.

I'd recommend NEVER posting your link here on DP - even in PMs.

Digg check the referrer and they know that lots of members of DP will try to game their system by voting for each other.

Its a good way to get their spam fighters attention.

Maybe they don't do this but it is not worth the risk because digg are trigger happy when it comes to banning domains.
