    Hi.

I'm looking to revamp one of my websites, www.goaudition.org

It is currently using a custom CMS which is lacking a lot of features as I do not have the time to maintain it.

I'm thinking of using wordpress and converting the current template for it.

I need some advise regarding the above as I'm unsure of how whether wordpress is suitable for what I will need:

    - News/articles
    - Game Guides
    - Videos
    - Screenshots

Wordpress is best suited to blogs or simpler websites. What you will probably need is a full CMS like Drupal or Joomla. Both will do everything you want and there is a good community behind it to support them. They will allow you to expand where as Wordpress will only allow you to do pages and blog entries. But if all you want to do is put up pages in different categories, Wordpress is an excellent system.

CMS Made Simple is a great option that you might want to consider. I'd recommend it over Drupal or Joomla.

Now the best is Drupal, choose and use the best software to build the best website. IMHO the best solutions give you the best result. :)

Drupal is a good bet , but joomla is a quick fix is you are not into programming and dont want a learning curve.

    Wordpress is not recommended.

Nice site. I would recomend Joomla as you can make it work for you and make sites look good with it.

It would be very good option.
