Decided to make a tutorial site and see if i can earn some decent $$ a day.

    http://tutorialmaterials.com/

I think the one ad I've added is in a good spot and I should add one in between some steps later on(step5) so they have to see it.

Any suggestions on where else i should put some?

You should add a horizontal link unit which will appear like a navigation menu :)

Try it out, it works for me.

Alright, I've added one in the middle of each post and one just above the comments.

Anymore ideas? I will add one on the right hand side :p

I like the site, but I think you should work on your punctuation in at least the tutorial.

Too many times you ended a sentence with a comma, this doesn't look very good, it makes you seem very inexperienced as a writer, it also is just plain wrong, please fix it if you want your visitors to be happy.

I will do, I did write it some time ago. Although my forum was successful despite the errors.

How are the ad placements MacJD?

looks good...but if you can put all navigation and the skyscraper ads at the left...it is where navigation is generally...;)

I am a relatively new to ad-placements (my advice isn't worth much on that). But I like the overall appearance of the site.
