Ok, but once you've created a Facebook application what's the best way of promoting it? just get it listed in their apps directory and hope that people will find it?

 

all i do is get it in the facebook directory and look gruops related to the app and make a post in the group about the app. just from doing that i usually see some nice installs, users etc. most of the installs/traffic for facebook apps are viral. thats whats so great about it.

 

Thats a cool way of promoting the apps and if you have lots of friends and get them to install ur apps then thats another advantage. within a few mins it would be everywhere and thats some cool traffic and money for you.

Its nice to see threads on facebook applications. How an ordinary clone script of facebook can be add more revenue to the site owner.If you can give tips on about these that will be nice to the users of those who create their own facebook application. i get a total of about 25k+ uniques per day. its bringing in a nice income.

 

it has nothin to do with cloning facebook at all. so im not sure i understand what your post means.

is that from just one app? or how many apps do you have?

also are you monetizing them through just adsense alone?

 

i have 8 apps right now and am planning on launching more this week. i was using cubics at the start but they were screwing me out of money so now i only use adsense. i might start using the ebay affiliate program and see what happens.

 

I've tried to make a facbook application before. It looked easy enough, except for the fact that the stupid thing didn't even work.

I myself have one Facebook app running, but want to know how can I get it known on facebook. I get about 50 new users a day currently.

 

as i said make a post in a group related to you app. there are bound to be more than 1 groups with a couple thousand people in it. you can also pay for advertising space and pay per install aswell.

 

Would love to try this idea... all my friends are extreme facebook addicts so I've sent them off to think of useful application ideas

 

Can you create an unlimited number of apps from one account or do you need to apply for more api keys?

I had a look at that 'frogger' application that you mentioned in this thread:

and added it to my Facebook profile but could not see any adsense ads. Are you monetizing it differently from your other apps? and are you other apps also games?
