A good example of ad placement

I can consider your ad is in good position if your daily CTR is averaging 2% to 4%.

What a good ad placement look like?

1. Must be seen immediately by visitor when he opens your website.
2. Could always be on top of your articles/site content.
3. Could have the same/related color with your site content.
4. Borders are not good.
5. Different background colors are not good.
6. Place it on are where accidental clicks are possible.

See example here and tell me your comment. I am having an average of 3 to 4% CTR daily just from this site.

 

site looks great, but two ads besides each other is a little spammy...add to the list make the text and link color of the ads the same...

 

Its because the space is utilized... If you are going to put only one ad, there will be a bigger space on both sides, which will look empty..

Anyway, we have two options here. cab be replaced with one bigger ad...

OKay what about the yellow background ad and white with blue , which performs better

means how about the ctr of the both ? just to get idea whether blending works or contrast works better ??

 

Well, I don't give much attention on the sidebar because normally, they have low CTR.
