Ad Placement on my forums

I just put adsense up on my forums: http://cod4boards.com around 2 1/2 days ago but I have only gotten 3 clicks (I've earned 1.58 so far)

There is one google ad at the top of every page that only shows up for guests
There is another one after the first post of every page to everyone

The forum gets around 800-1000 uniques per day. I know forums aren't the best place for ads but some advice with placement would be very helpful

    thank you!

It's pretty good. Why don't you put ad-links under the "login and register?"

Those are regular ads. You're running a leaderboard.

so replace the leader board with the ad-links, or add it and leave the leaderboard there?

    No, no, leave that alone.

Do you see where your "login" link is? Put an ad link underneath it.

ok, i'll see how that looks

also, what about right above the post reply/thread buttons in threads? do you think that would be a good spot (if it is, cant I only have 3 google ads on 1 page?)

Why don't you remove that colored border from the ads ? Try to make them more as part of the forums.

If me, I would remove the border out and make it the ads background same as your table box background....

remove borders and backgrounds...really too obvious for ads...and blend text color with link color...
