    I looked at your site and thought to myself. "if you are going to run a social network and you are asking how to promote it with your member count being only at 8, then you're finished".

    To run a site like that it helps to have a lot of friends. Call everyone you know, make them invite others as well. Surely you got more than 8 friends.

    website is a couple of days old i have yet to start a proper promotion of it i will be building the member count up before any campaigns start

    just my two cents but I think you need a niche...

    why, oh why, would anybody join your site if it's the same as myspace or facebook and has no numbers to match up? those two already dominate the social networking space.

    I think you need to find a niche...something that's gonna make someone say..."oh..you want the latest soccer news? check out clipbook"

    after you find your niche, you need a PR release and then constant blogging.

    stay focussed my friend and you'll have a successful thing going on in a couple years.

    Before you start promoting you need to get more members by creating some, telling your friends to create some or hire people to create some. If you go and advertise your website right now you're just going to waste your money. No one will join if there are 12 members on the site.

    Get some content!
