I have mixed feelsing about AOL. When I used them about 2 years ago their service was great for dial-up. When I switched to Cable internet I found no need for them That's why I say for dial-up they are OK. I'm glad that they hav decided to move over o more free programs.....what to expect after they lost 1 billion dollars last year in sales.

They have a horrible reputation and it's the best way to advertise that you're probably clueless about the internet. That's the message it sends out, and they're service doesn't make up for that. I would never actually use any AOL free software because it's guaranteed to be buggy and the equivalent of spyware.

I know about their horrible reputation. In fact I was about to cancel my service with them once because of what they did to my bill. Their service is good, their customer support is good. Their main problem is billing and that's what gets most people mad about them.

Fire Fox is way better. I'm not sure if this would be a good place to get random sampling, though. I've read studies that concluded the web masters, programmers, etc... almost most always choose fire fox over IE.

    This thread seems to confirm.

Maybe for webmasters they use FF. But for consumers most still use IE. And the margin does not seem to be filling up yet,

I'm a coder; it's almost difficult to keep IE happy!! :S

The main flaw with most reviews on IE. They keep on comparing it to its older version. If you compare the features with the new FF it compares to FF at the very least.

IE is so oldschool. it was ok back when we didn't know what a fast loading website was, but now in the days of high speed internet high web performance we need something with quality.

I would never use anything other then FireFox, its wayyy more secure and has better features. IE stole the Tabbed browsing idea, thats about all it has going for it now.

Plus I like to write plugins/extensions for FF.

I think you must be delusional at the moment. AOL customer support is horrendous, at least if you want to cancel, their software is as good as spyware and using an AOL IP address is a pretty much a guaranteed way to tell the webmaster you're an idiot.

The worst browser in the world!!

I never use it, every time you open a new tab and it gets hanged, dunno where!

Firexfox is always the best....it had some minor issues recently but they fixed it quickly..
