Best adsense module for joolma?

Discussion in 'Content Management' started by journeyoftheanimals, Dec 3, 2007.

I debated posting this here or in html design but figured this would be best. I have just recently started to entertain the idea of using joomla for my site. Something that is very important to me is being able to have my adsense and I was wondering what might be the best module for adsense. I know I could go to Google and look (and I have) but wanted some input from other people.

A good idea is to actually find where in your template you would want the adsense to appear and then place the code into the template. This way you can have the adsense appear more integrated with your content and receive more clicks overall.

With a module, it will be more of a stuck in the sidebar, header, or footer type of ad, which is fine but not quite as profitable.

I would recommend the Joomlaspan Adsense Module. That is if you are okay with having your ads in a fixed location on every page. If you are wanting to put ads in content items, you will need to ad a Bot (Mambot). Here is a link to the Joomlaspan Module:

I've used the Joomlaspan module and it's solid.

Be warned though that the new custom channel code from Google isn't supported yet. As you long as you only want to do normal ads or just URL channels you'll be fine though.
