How many of you here on digitalpoint have facebook?

I don't have Facebook, but do you think it'd be a good marketing tool? I only use MySpace so far...

 

I have never really looked into making money on facebook. Anyone who has...care to share?

 

I don't have Facebook hi5 myspace or similar craps

Damm i wonder why people uses them ....

 

I've my account there but I could not be active there.

The amount of work you have to put into facebook or myspace to get traffic is just a joke. What's wrong with you kids.

I know you arn't going to believe me but there is such a thing called SEO........It where you get good SERPs with google then you get visitors. It works a lot better than running around these sites and making applications, and what not.

I only know of one person in the world who gets nearly 5,000 visitors per day from facebook and that poor sucker has 28 applications for facebook and he had to make them which take like 80 hours each.

Getting traffic from myspace or facebook is just too much work.

 

I have a facebook account but I only use it for marketing purposes. Most of my friends use friendster.

 

Because they're an amazing and effective marketing tool - if you know how to use them.

I have a myspace account, that's it...

 

Use facebook in terms of locating people I have lost contact with - found a few old school friends so far.

We have developed a number of small applications for the platform too.... some for ourselves for fun/ to learn the API and others for clients.

If you know about viral marketing etc it can be an exceptionaly tool but as usual the majority of people dont and so their apps dont take off (I dont claim to know about it either before people ask)

I use Facebook that's because my friends use it.

Personally, too much effort to spam (sorry market) in places like that Like SEO route better.

 

I have one but I have not yet utilized it for marketing purposes. Could not find any use of it as of the moment.

lol, don't waste your time. The amount of traffic facebook will get you isn't worth the effort to do it. Google brings 10,000X the amount of traffic in a quarter of the time spend working with it.

I agree, it definitely will. The user-friendly interface will make sure of that.
