Social Bookmarking Question

Hi...I have a basic question about social bookmarking.

You know here at DP in the "Buy-Sell" Forum under services there are tons of people who will submit your site to these places. I want to start spending some money there.

My website has approxmiately 3000 pages, most of them are excellent articles and quality posts; I add about 25 pages per week. Which social bookmarking places can I submit all the pages of my site and not just the main page. And everytime i add new pages, i submit them....which social bookmarking places work like that?

Sorry for the newbie question...but i want to work social bookmarking into my budget for the new year, and I want to do it weekly....not just only submit the main page URL and forget about it.

Any advice?

 

Well, I think most of the social bookmarking sites accept submissions via a hyperlink submit (essentially a very light REST request) with some specific syntax. A couple of them have deeper APIs for posting your stuff. Del.icio.us comes to mind. I know I do automatic posting with them on a programmatic level. I think that's the kind of thing you're looking for, no?

 

I guess basically I am wondering when you see those ads in DP services section saying they will submit your site to 50 or whatever social bookmark sites...and it costs $8 or whatever per URL...each week can I submit I few different pages from my website...or do they only accept the root url?
For examlpe...say my site is:
www.ABC.com

but I have tons and tons of articles:
www.abc.com/baseballarticle
www.abc.com/xmasarticle

ETC...which social bookmark services accept all the pages of my site? Because i know that Directories only accept your root URL...so you just submit to them once....I want to know if there are any bookmark places that I can submit to regularily...or are they arll like that? Something like Digg...where i can try and get many of my pages DUGG?

Any thought?

What sort of website is it? If you have a blog component then www.blogengage.com allows you to submit each of your blog posts to it for free, so long as you wrote it yourself. I think stumbleupon allows you to subit different pages and I know facebook does as well.

 

you can submit as many articles from your website as you want.. or in your case.. yes, you can submit abc.com/baseballarticle and also submit abc.com/xmasarticle

every social bookmarking website will allow you to submit to them regularly like you want to... unlike directories where you can only submit your root URL one time (unless its a deep link directory)

Social bookmarking is an excellent way to get your site indexed quickly and to get some nice backlinks and even good traffic

My view is that, bookmarking sites exists so that we can bookmark each article or news that we encounter while surfing...not just the root url.....So, it accepts all pages with good content..

 

Almost all social bookmarks accept all pages of any website to be submitted to them. So don't worry about it and submit all of your pages on social bookmarking websites.
