INSTANT NOODLES

Dear instant noodle lovers,
Make sure you break for at least 3 days after one session of instant noodles before you eat your next packet! Please read the info shared to me by a doctor. My family stopped eating instant noodles more than 5 years ago after hearing about the wax coating the noodles - the wax is not just in the Styrofoam containers but it coats the noodles. This is why the instant noodles do not stick to each other when cooking.

If one were to examine the ordinary Chinese yellow noodles in the market, one will notice that, in their uncooked state the noodles are oily. This layer of oil prevents the noodles from sticking together.

Wanton noodles in their uncooked state have been dusted with flour to prevent them sticking together. When the hawker cooks the noodles, notice he cooks them in hot water and then rinses them in cold water before cooking them in hot water again. This process is repeated several times before the noodles are ready to be served. The cooking and rinsing process prevents noodles from sticking together.

The hawker then "lowers the noodles in oil and sauce to prevent the noodles from sticking if they are to be served dry. Cooking instructions for spaghetti require oil or butter to be added in the water when boiling the spaghetti to prevent the pasta from sticking together. Otherwise, one gets a big clump of spaghetti!

There was an SBC (now TCS) actor some years ago, who at a busy time of his career had no time to cook, resorted to eating instant noodles everyday. He got cancer later on. His doctor told him about the wax in instant noodles. The doctor told him that our body will need up to 2 days to clear the wax. There was also an SIA steward who after moving out from his mother's house into his own house, did not cook but ate instant noodles almost every meal. He had cancer, and has since died from it.

Nowadays the instant noodles are referred as " cancer noodles ".

 

Erm, just because someone ate noodles and subsequently got cancer doesn't mean the noodles caused it.
Unfortunately something like 1 in 3 of us will end up with cancer in one form or another at some time in our life.

 

Noodles cause cancer? Whoa, that's a major part of my diet!

 

I'm not sure if this information is true. They were approved by the FDA, right? That must mean it does not contain any form of carcinogens... or at least that's what it should be.

the thing is, that everything today can give you cancer
so you've found out about the noodle stuff, I bet that you are eating
dozens of other things that can give cancer, and you are not even aware of that
godamnit! I even heard once that milk can cause cancer

maybe I will die younger then those healthy guys (I'm a smoker)
but I will not live in fear

 

oh, and another thing that you should check
is if the guy that told you that instant noodles are dangerous, wasn't trying to sell you instant rice or something

in 1 day we are almost eating many things which are carcinogens. 1 research has also shown tht when we go out on a road, micro parts of tyre of vehicles goes into our lungs, and that can cause lung cancer..

 

I think instant noodles are cancerous because of the MSG content. But I don't think it has been proven yet.

 

i think its all depends on your diet that how much you are eating and how much work you are doing to keep your body fit...if you are eating and doing exercise then no problem...so eat anything without tension....

 

don't know about that, but the last time i ate noodles, i got stomach upsets but then, got to accept, it tastes great!

 

LOL. I used to eat at least on pack a day. And during my college year, it is all i eat, three meal a day and nothing happened to me

 

I love eating Maggie. But only about once a week though; so I guess the risk of getting cancer is reduced to a great extent;

 

If it\'s a cancerous food why does the Department of Health or BFAD doesn\'t stop it....

It's about freedom of choice.
Lots of foods, if eaten to excess, increase the risk of developing cancer. Indeed obesity is one of the main causes of cancer.
I'm not sure Maggie would be too enthralled that they were being singled out.

 

noodles cause cancer ...... means noodles ......caused cancer you cant be serious ..... i cant live without them .....they are my major food
