    Ofcourse ; get enough users on your app and use CPC/CPM/CPL on them; just like 'normal' web apps. And you can sell it afterwards too.

    yes, I have made and still am making money on facebook.. primarily buying and selling applications, and showing ads.

    Facebook applications are basically web paged embedded into facebook.. so anything you can make money on the web, you can fb'ize it and add it as an application.

    I heard facebook will soon add their own payment system similar to paypal/google checkout. It might be a good news for app developers :)

    Well the High Traffic and Advertising is a great source of earning on FB. Impressions go way beyond any other Website Online. If Mark earns so much from advertising, maybe he is also paying the developers a little bit too. As you can see many Developers embed other Applications recommendations and all. Plus the 20 User limit on each application means so many views 1:20 Ratio. That encourage more companies for ADs on FB.

    Do you click the ads on facebook applications? How many views you need to get to have a good cpm.
    I really do not know how they make money with fb.

    People can make money with applications by running their own ads on their canvas pages. I know that a couple of the most popular facebook applications are making thousands a day, but they are mostly owned by large companies. The potential is definitely there.

    I'm doing alright advertising my business on facebook. I don't like how some ads are banned while others are fine, even though they are the same, but I'm getting a decent ROI.

    fb adsense ads give a really low CTR, so development/resale is the best option... just bite the bullet, learn FBML and go for it.

    also, dont release more bite me crap, or IQ tests, theyve been done to oblivion now....
