'samSForce' Community for U.S. Military and their Supporters: Placement of ads?

Well, I had this idea one day on a whim, because I know alot of folks who are in the U.S. Military and could benefit from a forum like this. I currently have it hosted by proboards, while paying for their ad-free option per impressions....and, hosting my own....it's just about to top 300 active members (3 shy) in less than a month of running it.....

    http://www.samsforce.proboards54.com

The ad layout is pretty straitforward and simple.....is there anything else I could possibly do? Change the color? or should i keep it blended with the black? I tried to make it have the appearance of the rest of the forum......

I think so far it looks good. Has it been successful so far, as far as your ads go? You may even want to try a PPP (pay per play) as serivce like the one in my sig below. You get paid whether or not they click on anything. Take a look at it and see if it fits in with what your building.

It doesn't really fit into 'samSForce', but, thanks! Perhaps someone else can benefit from it.

the ads on the black backgorund with white text color are perfect...

the ones with the symbols at the bottom does not look good...i suggest putting the adsense in your black bakcground and keep that theme going...

im not sure about the red link color though, too strong for me...:D
