Great working campaign but ads dont show up for 90% of the keywords in search????

I have a great campaign setup at Yahoo and my ROI seems to be great. I have about 2000 keywords and my ad only shows up for very few of them and rest are like just ignored. Whenever i search for keywords in yahoo search my ad doesnt show up even when there is no other ad showing up so that means the bid is not the problem and there is nearly no competition. Can anyone please tell me whats wrong or how to encounter this problem

check to see whether your keyword is still on pending or not.

Hmmm, maybe it has something to do with trademark issue. You can use contact form and ask them. They usually respond very fast.

But KEYWORD KEYWORD xyz KEYWORD don't?!

I have the same problem... Some keywords are not shown so frequently as I should expect from traffic estimate tool. I think one of the reason is same KWs for 2 different ads, they compete to each other and shown separately. Another reason should be "Quality Score" but I have ads rated 5/5 and shown very rarely - 10-20 times less then expected from the "traffic estimate tool".

Probably the system collects some data on CTR and decides not to show some ads. You can either seriously increase your bids or try to get a great start with another ad.

You can always contact their support. They are usually very helpful and have always been pretty quick with helping you out.

the problem is that I had a lot more traffic with 2 times smaller bids at the beginning, no matter the quality score. That's a strange system behaviour or just a YSM game for advertisers when you have to increase your bids day after day in order to receive the same traffic volume.

It could also be that your niche is becoming saturated with other advertisers, which are pushing up the bid prices.

could it be the keywords you are bidding for are low searched kw? you can click on your kw and see the bid and click estimate Y! shows, it will show how many clicks and impressions you are supposed to get from each kw. realy hard to say whats going on here. Y! has grea phone support and their support stuffs are really friendly. i suggest you call them and ask, they pick up the phone pretty quick also.

Actually, I believe this is happening after yahoo implemented their new quality score system. I have had campaigns which worked great on yahoo, now getting extremely little traffic. Thanks Yahoo... for copying google, now I have twice the amount of headache to deal with
