Does any one know from where I can purchase the photoshop action script to make beautiful Boxes like this one below: ?????????

 

Yeah, I think the script goes sometihng like this:

script:
Pay a designer to make a box design,
get the box professional printed on a press,
hire a professional photographer to capture the image of the box,
have the designer crop out unwanted areas and add a fake reflection,
and script.

You are free to follow every step of that and you don't have to give me credit on your site when you do it either.

My personal recommendation: it's obvious when a box is faked. I would rather have the label of the front of the box be displayed flat in all of it's glory (or even flat with a reflection) than stare at an obviously fake 'box' from somebody who doesn't have the wherewithall to print a real software box.

Take your time to design a dynamite box front and show off your great work!

Of course, it would take some tweaking to do the rounded part and you have to come up with the designs yourself, but it will put it in a nice 'box' shape with reflection and all.

 

I draw my attention to some prominent open-source programs and note that nowhere on their site do they have a fake box for their software, but that hasn't deterred millions from downloading/buying them and using them. Theyoften feature a screenshot and the program's icon

So no, I don't think it's an essential thing, and it's entirely possible that a screenshot and an icon are more effective than a thumbnail of a package designed to be read at full size. Maybe a screenshot and an icon carry more information to the screen viewer.

it is entireply possible too, that they don't use photoshop for it, or that they don't have a script and just make it on their own.

I know if I was going to make a box I'd just make it, I don't even bother with scripts when I have to use photoshop.

And I've only ever seen Microsoft use that box design, I wouldn't anywhere near it because I wouldn't want to be remotely associated with them.

go to Vista Box Tutorials and you will get free custom shape..if you want the action script..just do the tutorials given..and make your own action script using photoshop..
