What script/CMS would you use for your video entertainment site?

Hello folks,

I am in the process of starting an video/image entertainment site. The site is your typical entertainment site where users watch videos leave comments and have their own area.

I have done some research and found plenty of candids such as: entertainmentscripts.com, clipshare, phpmotion...

I also know that this can be done using a CMS such as drupal or joomla. Wordpress seems to be a lot of work to do this.

My main concern is the traffic script. I want to use a decent traffic management script too for this site

What combos do you guys use? Any suggestions?

Drupal is the best mate

 

It really depends on what you need... if you have everything planned out... and your developing it... start with the lightest framework you can find... write it from scratch if you need to...

Just figure out what it is you want first... because until then... you'll never find what your looking for...

A video website with comments can pretty much be written in a day or two... but your obviously looking for bells and whistles as is everybody... so spec out what you need and then you'll get a better return...

What is a traffic manager script?

xoops smartmedia is good for ent websites...

 

the new version is pretty decent, check out their demo. Just be forewarned that it is a bitch to modify unless you are very savvy with SMARTY coding.

 

I think clipshare is better if you could do some customization.
