    Hello,

I want a content management system for a travel agency, we dont want online booking now,but may add it in the future. The website will show the packages/offers and services..... I am considering Joomla for this, but I am still looking for other options..

Yes this is very true. Joomla uses a lot of CPU resources so If you are planning to make money out of your site then I would not recommend Joomla.

This seems like something Drupal would be well equipped for. Google around to see if there is some sort of booking/reservation module that could be added later.

Subdreamer is very limited. Joomla is a good choice - find a designer and get a custom template made. CPU resources matter for sites that have large volumes of traffic. I have no problem with any of my joomla sites and load times. It is very important you select a host who doesn't oversell their shared bandwidth. This usually means spending a few dollars more per month but it's well worth the investment.

Don't believe roomers or the "I heard stuff". Visit the Joomla Forums. Check out the extensions. The only downside to extensions for the new version of Joomla is they are coming along pretty slowly. But over the course of the year most of the good extensions should be rewritten for the new version.
