700 visitors and only 1-2 clicks

Hi, please review my ads placements/colours in my Information Technology Blog
I am getting about 700 unique visitors per day (~500 from google) and most of the days only 1 click.

 

The ads placement is good enough. I think you should focus on your content. Too less content

 

yesterday had 1,2k+ visitors and only 3 clicks :/

try to receive more visitors and change your placement

Im also thinking of adding some image 125x125 or 100x100 ads on the sidebar, but dunno what ads should I put there, manually sell them through paypal?

 

so any help? now over 1k visitors and only 1 few cents clicks. I've changed ad placements in most popular posts. but still had 3 large rectangle ads and no clicks now left only 2 ads.

 

Its probably your traffic quality. Kinda like Digg traffic. You can have 25k visitors in 3 days and 5 or so clicks.

 

Yesterday I had like 700 from google 450 from StumbleUpon. But I guess you'r right as the average time from it is less than 30 seconds.

 

SU traffic is horrible. Don't even consider SU for your CTR.

Use the Adsense preview tool and go to town blocking MFA/garbage ads from appearing on your site. That will help, but many times they use different domains to point to the same garbage. So stay on top of it. Done right, your CTR will improve some and your RPC can rise significantly.

 

Hi, thanks for great tips! and I would like to ask whats the point of SU traffic then? should I remove the SU button at the bottom of my posts? as It's only lowering your CTR.

 

AdSense earnings are like that. Some days you would feel like taking AdSense off your site. And some days you will have smile to your ears

 

Even low quality traffic is still traffic. You may get lucky and get a click here and there, so don't turn that away. You may even get a sale once in a blue moon from SU traffic.

Some niches do better with SU. Your niche probably is not one of them, but you may not have enough consistent SU traffic to determine that.

firstly, may google understand from that thread, that u want more clicks from Didital point members
it may lead u to push out adsense

2nd , your site content dont mtch with your advertises
so visitors dont see what advertise they want

so try to increase denisty of your favorite vistors Keywords

and use any analytics program for adsense.

I suggest you put a ad unit at the top of the first post.

This will increase your CTR.

Use the 336*280 or 250*250 ad unit for the top ad unit.

 

It is at the top right side of each post. only this new post with video doesn't fit well with ads so i put in the middle.

 

however the adds are nicely placed .. but the one thing that catches the eyes of a visitor is the videos... and thats why they probably dont go for adds

 

the post with video is not so popular, the most popular posts are filled with text.
