    Given that SugarCRM is a php based application, it seems to me it is a weakness in terms of scalability and high performance. Coming from Java background, I still think for enterprises, better to use a java solution instead.

    well, scalability is not the problem for me, because there will be 2-3 users. What java solution do you have in mind?

    Recently had a look at these 2 (sugar / vtiger) again and it looks like vTiger is the current OS winner.

    Gradually cool features/functionality are only offered to paid versions of Sugar.
    vTiger also has some cool communities for expansion/mods/etc.

    As far as I know vTiger is built off Sugar's community edition and when we compare it to the Sugar Suite we can say that vTiger loads faster and is more user friendly. Everyone would agree I am sure that the only downside is the installation.

    We use voicersuite dot com.
    Quite happy with it. You can even create PDF invoices with your own logo. All paperless.
