Nice design :) I'd personally want some photos of the stars to get me excited, but atleast you've not overloaded the page. The ads aren't overwhelming, so good job there! :)

I really believe it will, after all that's what makes people happy they've discovered a site and actually share it with their friends. That's what the web's about: meeting the needs of people using it to find you, not just sucking in huge numbers of visitors. You've got the right idea! :)

I have started my blog on investment advice. My blog URL is

    h**p://indiamoneyguide.blogspot.com

I have even used adsense placements in my blog. Please suggest if the ad placement is correct and also advice me on how to improve my earnings. Blog promotion and all.

You site is still new. First at all, you need to add few more article. Then, go for SERP to get more traffic.
    Other is just fine

Your in the right direction IMO. Like mentioned before bring in more content and pics.

I counted 9 ad blocks and 2 search bars. 11 total adsense ads. I cannot express enough that less is more when it comes to adsense. It looks like you are hoping your visitors will click on your site blindly. Believe it or not all you need is 1 ad block to be effective with adsense. A benefit with only using 1 ad block is you are only allowing a limited amount of ads so you will not be showing the .01 ads.

Another tip is I don't let Google decide which ad is text or image. I use the image ad in place of where you would expect an image to appear in a post. I use text ads as a link list in the sidebar mainly. But I decide what types of ads are shown. I may have up to 3 ad blocks on an internal page but they do not look the same and they are placed where a visitor would expect to find them. I try to keep my landing page limited to only 2 ad blocks at the most.

I have found that by having a home or landing page that is 99% content that it is more inviting to the visitor and so they will explore the site. Once they have entered an internal page my ads to content ratio increases because at this point the visitor has made a decision and the ads will be more targeted to the information they are seeking.

A psychological benefit is after a visitor has clicked on an article title they have relieved themselves of any click anxiety and have place trust in your website. A website that is full of ads creates anti-click anxiety.

A good rule of thumb is would you explore your site if you where the visitor. As webmasters you should realize that many other webmasters fall in the anti-click behavior. Try to remember what was the last site you clicked on an adsense ad and I bet you will notice that the website was tailored to the visitor and not to Google Adwords.

Brilliant post, 1nspire! That's precisely the philosophy I'm going for. The goal is pleasing the surfer so that they WANT to click those ads or do it totally unconsciously because they're merrily going around your site and enjoying what they find, IMO :)
