Does anyone know how to copy all the layers from one psd file and paste it in a new file while keeping all the layers and effects intact?

Sorry, I'm new to Photoshop... I've been using fireworks forever.

Select all the layers/folders and drag them into the new file.

    I'm happy to help. :)

You can do it from the menu or by right-clicking (if you have a 2+ button mouse) on the layer in the layers console.

There are different ways to do it. Let me explain what I do when I need some set of layers in my new PSD.
Just select all the layers and press Ctr+G group them in one folder. Name the folder like "ALL". Now open the destination PSD and then drag the "ALL" folder in it.
Then Press Ctr+A and align it.
I hope you got it, let me know if you have any more queries.
I am available on IMs, just ping me.
