Adsense is just not working for me?

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help, I am pulling my hair out here.

Only recently put adsense on my site, it is an established site with good traffic, adsense however, doesn't seem to be working for me...

I would appreciate it if someone could just take a look and give some feedback...

my opera refuses to take me there
and then, adsense workss when someone clicks on the links
and the revenue from impressions is in cents not $

What I mean by not working - is not literal - sorry, I can see how it could be misunderstood.

What I mean is it doesn't seem to be worth doing it on my site - clicks and revenue are negligible... I wanted someone to take a look at it, and perhaps suggest some improvements...

 

The 4 unit link ads at the above is OK

put a skyscraper ads in the sidebar

put a big rectangle ads above the "Volunteer and Travel Abroad - Volunteer in Brazil " text, outside the table

the ads in the bottom is worthless/have low CTR

the color of your ads is not fully blended with the background, use 'CCFF88' as your ads color, it would match with your site background

 

When you say it "just not working for me", do you mean, technically not working? or You're not making money?

I didn't seem to generate much for me either. I moved onto other things.

 

You can tweak your AdSense ads further according to tips given by forumers here but I think you need targeted traffic to really make money from AdSense. Write some good articles and promote your site at article submission sites. Do that diligently and you should have more targeted traffic.

The rectangle? Do you mean the 468 x 60? Placed above the frame border, just under the link unit?

I have been considering experimenting with the side-bar menu, which would leave room for a skyscraper...

Frankly, I am a little scared as it would mean altering the navigation to other pages

Not working on the money side of it...The site itself is a very good business - and survives in it's own right by providing the services - I just thought I would try adsense to see if it would work... not only that...the business side of it is quiet for 5 months a year...

No, the 336X280 Rectangle unit and yes put it above the frame border under the link unit

How about making another column at the right as another sidebar and put a long skyscraper unit there?

the key is to place all of your ads above the fold

 

OK , put that rectangle above the frame - not sure if I am keen on it though (I do appreciate your help - dont get me wrong)... Doesnt look right somehow, think it makes the page look tacky.... - or is it just me

 

yeah...but it's work for me I got 5% CTR almost daily

you do need to experiment to find placement with reasonable CTR and suit your taste

I will try that rectangle on a page other than the front page...and test it...

Any more ideas would be appreciated - thenks again...
