PHOTOSHOP vs. COREL

which of this two do you think is the best to use in graphic designing?

 

You are comparing two programs used for completely different purposes.
Photoshop - for raster based design, Corel (or Illustrator) - for a vector one.
Choosing the right program depends on what you want to achieve.

 

I agree with Varelse; while you're comparing two graphic applications, they're both very different in terms of product.

In my opinion, if you're going to do websites and photo touch-ups, look at Photoshop. Photoshop has some form of limited vector support through the Pen tool, but it's nowhere near Illustrator's range.
If you're going to do logos or drawn artworks, look into a vector application like Corel or Illustrator.

Both are for different purposes. on what basis, you are comparing these both product ?

 

The obvious comment I am making is Illustrator over CorelDRAW 1000% of the time.

I have taught Illustrator on the college level for years, and the advantages of Illustrator are too many to list - the primary being that Adobe's creative suite is powerful, and the software packages are designed to be used in tandem. There is a synergy here...

 

It depends on what you need it for, COREL paint is quite an amazing program for creating digital paintings and although you can achieve the same thing with Photoshop I think Corel Paint is more indepth and feels more like a virtual arists studio.

 

Corel has long been THE graphic design package for vector imaging. Adobe caught up quite quickly but there are many people who believe that Adobe's attempts to keep up with Corel is what makes its products so good.

But corel and photoshop are different packages. Corel Photopaint is comparable to Photoshop but I'd choose Photoshop everytime.

I use both. All my drawing and arty design is done in coreldraw and quite often I export to phototshop and tweak for the web. I've had some really good results like that.

For me one of the best features of Corel is the screen capture tool. I've used it extensively for tutorials, its easy to use and they load straight into Photopaint.

I was taught on corel so maybe I am a little biased but I think it's mainly down to personal preference and your own exisitng knowledge.

if u wan to do some thing in vector then COREL & if you wan to work with photo or any complit layout PHOTOSHOP is best. it's deepend on you work . one more thing you most know how to to work with this softwares
so its completely depend & vary man to man .

 

They are totally different applications, used for different works so that they cannot be compared. You can draw a comparison between CorelDraw and Illustrator.

 

Corel,because is the best for me.

 

Photoshop for the win!

I tried corel once and I did not really find it as handy as Photoshop is.
However, the CS3 version kinda sucks

 

Adobe Photoshop vs Corel Photopaint. Adobe's Photoshop wins on features but look at the price.

Coreldraw which includes photopaint vs Illustrator. I'd go with Corel.

The photoshop can be used for some simple works. It is easy to use. it is most suitable for image editing
For the graphic designing works CorelDraw or the Adobe Illustrator is useful since they are vector based and they have many tools for drawings.
the professionals use vector based softwares.
