    I would check the stats and see "where" ppl are coming from. Organic traffic is what you need to ensure that you receive better CPC.Traffic is coming from social-bookmarking sites isn't very targeted and can result in being smart-priced.

    1 cent per click is pretty low. But there are some niches that earn that amount.

    However the ads that are displayed on your page are said to be related to the quality of your traffic. Don't know if this is true or not

    Why not try removing the current adsense code on your site and replace it with new code

    Just a suggestion
