Can anybody help me replicate this style of image in photoshop?

    Hi

I am still a rookie in photoshop, but I want to create a logo for my business.

    I found this image (http://bad-blood.deviantart.com/art/Y-o-l-k-s-78118255)

I looked everywhere but could not find any information on how to replicate the sphere in the background of the emoticons.

I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me learn how to do this?

    It would be greatly appreciated!

U can easily create those spheres in photoshop.

Just use the ELLIPSE shape tool to create the shape.
Then Use the stroke property for the outline, usng the colour of ur choice.
Finally, use the gradient tool to create the effect inside the sphere shape.

    :)

    Hi

    Thanks for the response!

I can create a sphere pretty easily, it's just the fill of the sphere that I am having trouble with. I can do a basic gradient, but it just looks flat...

Have you tried using rendering filters? I've done a similar sphere by using 3D Transform and Lighting Effects (the spotlight).
