Comparing Yahooo to Adwords

I'm hoping to compare Yahoo to Adwords. Specifically what kinds of experiences have you all found in terms of traffic? Naturally I'll get less volume so I have to expect lower traffic volumes or bid on a more broad keyword phrase.

How much has the volumes varied?
How much cheaper is Yahoo?
Should I expect to face click fraud?
Any other observations?

 

Although YSM gives less traffic volume (can be 1:4) compare to Adwords, my personal experience is it's more expensive. But so far, the conversion is better, especially if you're running arbitrage campaign and/or affiliate.

Yahoo minimum PPC is 10 cents right? Can we get cheaper click than 10 cents in Yahoo? like in adwords, if your site an dkeywords are related you can get cheaper click than 5 cents right? is yahoo the same?

 

No now yahoo dont have min 10p bids
Now your min bids can change as per your cpc and QS same as adwords

Note: Yahoo has much less traffic as compared to google and it is also expensive

 

I run several campaigns using both Yahoo Search Engine Marketing and Google Adwords and experience higher traffic with Google Adwords than with Yahoo SEM. In Norway - where I live and my customers are advertising I experience some better conversions through the Content Match in Yahoo SEM than in Google Adwords Site Targeting.

In the past we always relied on google & did this because our competitors were on there, but then we tried investing mroe in YSM & after a short while found this to generate much more conversions than google!

So it does vary & can depend on what your promoting.

 

I've seen many people comment that Yahoo seems to generate more conversions per click than adsense. Do you know of any reasons why this is the case?

 

i think adwords by far blows Yahoo out of the water. I don't know about you but Yahoo does not personally give me the options and usibility i need as a marketer.

 

I actually get more volume and more sales from Yahoo!

...yeah, I know, it surprises me as well, but it's true!

 

I think Adwords converts way better than Yahoo. But with Yahoo you do not have to deal with the quality issue as much.
