How much do you earn a month as a webmaster?

I was curious to know how my fellow webmasters do. Please be honest because I want to be a good guage of how we stack up.


Please include earnings from adsense or other pay per click programs, affiliate programs, text links sold, and paid posts. If your earnings fluctuate a lot from month to month, just give an overall average.

 

As a webmaster not much, maybe a few thousand each month from affiliate sites.
As an SEO over $20k

Hopefully I'll be spending more time on my own sites from next year, but plans are always different from reality!

 

Average $1.5k, from my all sites. I don't provide any service at this time

About £100 a month from my websites at the minute.

 

700-1000$/ month part time

 

How do you people make such huge money from your Websites or affiliate sites???
God,i have to work day and night to make 2000$ a month..

I find there's a lot of nuances and fine print to many of these high figures. First is it earnings or profits? If you buy for $10k of traffic and you make $12k, that's not as impressive. Then, you may make $20k as a "webmaster", but is it really from running the sites, or is the money mostly coming from products or services you sell? Finally, did you start yesterday making $10k, probably not, so how many years did it take before building enough traffic to get these types of figures? I take it all with a grain of salt.

 

Good point elf. If I could edit my first post id say only what you earn minus subtracting for Advertising or SEO or Design services you pay. Everyone pays for webhosting and Domains so that shouldn't be factored in.


I voted 1000 because that is about what i was making the last few months. Maybe slightly under a thousand, but much closer to 1000 then 500 so i voted 1000.

Over $5k from various affiliate networks, my blog, private advertising etc.

 

The poll now says 40% are above 1000 or more total. I find that hard to believe so either people are embellishing the numbers OR people are spending a lot of it on advertising and SEO services and really aren't making that as a net profit. I would imagine a lot less than 40% of webmasters here are making over 1000, but maybe im wrong. I hope people are being honest because thats the only way we will get an idea of how we stack up against each other. I know it took me about a year and half of continuous work with no job and lots of creativity just to reach near the 1000 dollar mark on a consistent basis.

Of course, you have to factor in that the people who are doing well are more likely to "vote". Or, maybe so at least. I don't think you could extrapolate this poll to the whole DP Forums or internet webmasters in general.

This poll is mainly just a fun thing to say that x people make over $5k, even if that is accurate is somewhat in question.

Of course, you could use this to promote DP by saying, "According to our poll 36% of the webmasters at DP make over $1000 a month as a webmaster. How much do you make?" And, you probably would not be very much different than some polls these companies run and charge $xxxx for...

 

You got a point, which was what I was thinking, that those who make good money tend to want to vote more than those who don't. I hope everyone votes regardless of earnings, as long as they actually have made a legitimate serious attempt at being a webmaster (even if its more of as a hobby than full time).

 

Last month I made about $750. Not bad for a part time job.

 

If all of you that posts saying you make THOUSANDS, I don't see how you have the time to be posting in this thread.

 

I heard that you can add the most searched for keywords to get picked up more by search engines, thats supposed to help with your seo and adsense .

thing is though I dont know the top searched sites !!!
