Question about capitals in email address and if this makes a difference?

Does it make a difference when you send out an email with non-capital letters even if a email address containes Capital letters.

    For instance:
If i have a email address that looks like this

and i would send an email to

Would the email that i have send still arrive or would it bounce and not be arriving?

I know when you type in a address in a browser and the domain contains Capitals from where you picked up the domain it doesn't matter because the browser converts the Capitals in non-capitals but how about email?

Probably the same but i just want to be sure about this.

Dosen't make a difference. I use capital letters to my emails even when it's not registered with a capital letter.

AOL people are the only ones I've ever had mention capitals to me in their email. I figured everyone else got that case is unimportant.

    Hi

What abt ? Is it the same if i type . I presume the person automatically type a capital letter after the full stop and hence the capital letter. Not sure whether my email will go through though.

no its not the same address
ying.yan is not yingyan for obvious reasons (the . ) you'd have to include the . , but capitals are not necessary. User probably does it to make sure people note the . in it.

I think it used to matter a long time ago, but internet standards have softened up quite a lot in the last 10 years. ;)

Capital letters don't matter for email addresses.

Also, domain names aren't case sensitive.

Like Facebook.com is the same as FaCebOok.com

Actually, that is not entirely true. Gmail, for instance, disregards periods in an email-address - they also disregard +-signs. Hence, an email like is the same as or - and if you want, you can also create stuff like - it will still be sent to you, and you can filter on it if you use your email for different sites and such.

If it was the case every ipad / cell phone user would be in trouble. Some of them (ipads / cell phones) start an email address with a cap like it's a new sentence or something.
