My Experiment Which Increased my Adsense CPC by 400%

hey there......its a good news ....i finally increased my avg cpc by around 400% and now have an avg of 2$ cpc for more than 2 months. .Now i feel that it's the time to share my experiments with you great people.Below given are my own experiments with Adsense and i can't guarantee that you can get the same results...but its worth trying out.

I was constantly experimenting different ad layouts,ad types etc etc on my blog....and i think the experiment which worked GREAT was to REDUCE the number of ad blocks.I used one 300*250(text only) and another 468*60(text and image combined) and completely REMOVED the link units.(link units are easier to get clicks and increase the CTR but the CPC through ad links is very low) and the bigger sized ads.

I did this to a blog with a unique niche(not those high paying keywords niche you see everywhere) and u.v around 800 per day.

Any others had the same results???

I too noticed that when I use less blocks, CPC goes higher.

 

indeed....since the competition for your ad space is increasing with lesser blocks.

I usually limit my ads blocks from 1 to 3. Higher CTR.

 

Well, it does make sense since the lesser the number of ad units, there's less chance for all those low paying ads to appear.
I think what you are referring to over here about ad links is actually called link units. I never use this anyway.

The more ad spots on your website, the competition to appear increases. So, the best ads appear.

Go to www.adsblacklist.com
Register and obtain the urls of MFA's and low CPC sites.
Add them to your Adsense Competitive Ad filter list[ https://www.google.com/adsense/filter]

Now onwards NO more .o1 clicks and only high paying ads will be shown.

i have not tried it yet and hoping for the replies from the Adsense Masters here...

 

how can i set up number of ads shown in block?
I have already made blocks so can i set it up and update my blocks?

I think Only premium adsense publishers can use this feature now.For others the number of ads shown on a block will be set according to the keywords competition.
