    Image Galleries:
    4images Gallery (visit site)
    - your own online photo gallery
    Gallery (visit site)
    - probably the most popular image gallery script
    Coppermine Photo Gallery (visit site)
    - a feature-rich photo gallery script with MySQL database, user
management, private galleries, automatic thumbnail creation,
film strip, and a template system for customization

    Experience please!

What CMS are you going to use it with, or is it going to be a stand alone gallery? Is this going to be a full website, or just a pictures gallery site? Are you going to be the only one posting pictures, or do you want to allow members to post pictures? Do you want your gallery and website CMS integrated? Do you want bridge integration or full integration?

If you are going to be using Joomla, I like RSgallery2 - http://rsgallery2.net Its easy to work with, and their support forums are great.

Gallery and Coppermine are both good solutions, but a lot of it depends on "what" you are going to be doing.

    stand alone gallery :)

4images Gallery looks by default very good, i like the theme. Coppermine Photo Gallery is very populair, but don't get warm feelings for it to download Coppermine.

    Thanks for your idea!

I would likely suggest gallery 2.3 but I suppose it depends on what exactly you are going to do with it. Coppermine is a bit clumsy and I have never been that amused with 4 images despite the press.

I like Gallery2 for the amount of plugins, and it's SEO strength.

My own G2 installation http://www.pureanimegallery.com is giving about 1200 uniques a day, all coming from Google or Google Images. For SEO you won't find a better gallery system.

I've never been fond of its lack of speed though - I still like it so I just used a faster hosting.

    Thanks for all your comments.

    Found the setup:
    Gallery 2.3
    Wordpress 2.6.3
wpg2 plugin to make the powerful combination above.

    example: http://dev.cal-family.org/

Some cool custom made design, and i'm done :)

For stand alone image galleries, 4images is the best one among your options because it's very easy to use and I like the default theme too.

And I also recommend you to try WordPress together with the NextGen plugin. I found them very simple and wonderful to build a blog with photo albums.

4images looks good, that's true. (this was my first idea before creating this topic)

    WordPress plugins:
    NextGen Gallery
    YAPB (Yet another photoblog)

or wpg2 (to make the combination wordpress cms blog and gallery2 system)

    My photo blog is done!

I made also another photo blog, i mean photo gallery:
TODAY i created with (http://www.zenphoto.org/) zenPHOTO 1.2.1 fast a new, simple and easy photo gallery.

Check out : ZEN PHOTO Very web 2.0!
