What tool do I use to delete the background of an image. I have a pic of a person I want to take out the background so I can put the person on another pic.

You could use the magic wand tool to remove it, or if this does not work well... Try the Marquee tool and draw around them best you can.

The best tool to use in this case is the "Pen Tool" or the "Magnetic Lasso Tool"
Just try using the frequency option of Magnetic Lasso tool, you'll get awesome results..

If the magic wand doesn't work well (hair for example), there are two superb plugins called KnockOut and Fluid Mask.

you should use the quick mask. Look in the photoshop help for quick mask it is the fastest and cleanest way. Don't use the magic wand tool ever.

If youre trying to move just the person use the magnet lasso to go around the entire person then you can just drag them into the other photo. It is much easier than erasing the entire background.

Or, if you really want, some sites come with alreayd rendered photos, you may get lucky and find what you need there.

Edit: if it's a personal picture, of course you wont find it there :)
