Here is a good one for you Adsense Gurus. Where should I put Adsense on http://www.hellhorror.com (Didn't know if I could make a direct link here)

I currently get a 2% CTR and this is by far my worst Adsense CTR of all. It has stumped m for months and I have done a couple other formats and bg colors.

Who wants to try this on?

first off. You shouldnt mention your CTR here. however CTR of 2% is not too shabby. I have not had a CTR of more than 1% since I only had 100 hits a day

    Ok Ad suggestions

Fully blended half sky scraper on the right in place of the amazon ad

leverage the images half way down. put a fully or slightly blended 468 * 60 ad with the images above it

perhaps try a fully blended 468 * 60 below the search box or just above it (between the nave and the search.

    What do you think?

I would say get rid of your 336x280 in the center and replace your left and right Amazon ads with two Adsense 125x125's. Or, if you're not fond of that you could put a 728x90 under your top menu.

Ok I added the half sky scraper on the right, is it what you would call fully blended?

I did the 468x60 between the search and nav but tell me if it is blended well.

Explain the "leverage the images half way down. put a fully or slightly blended 468 * 60 ad with the images above it" part again?

Thanks for your help and I will posts the best format.

I got rid of the 336x280 and replaced the left Amazon with a 125x125. Tell me if I did the way you invisioned it.

I did not do the 728x90 because I tried this before and they were horrible. Every site is different and the visitors casted a blind eye to that format. LOL

Thanks and I will post an update in the future.

Always put the ad on the center..straight at their eye ball. Bigger the Ads...more effective I found.

The half-skyscraper on the right looks nice. I think you should mimic it on the left. Also, your 468x60 in the center seems to be missing a top margin.

Razor - There's alot of clutter on your website.

Maybe think about reducing the amount of ways a user can exit the site.. I mean there's got to be between 50-100 links out from that page that a user can click.. It makes it harder to actually get what's going on in the page as well. Sometimes less is more.

that could be good if you placed the square block of adsense just above the "recent reviews".

I know but it helps with the serps, but I will take any ideas I can from you about what you think I can cut down on.

I am using the core code of phpnuke which eliminates this idea. I tried to do it but I kept getting errors so vouched for the over-the-block thing. Thanx though
