    Can anybody name me some good soft that can be used easily to create logos and icons. I know photoshop is best, i was looking for some other good and easy soft specially for websites.

    I liked AAAlogo. But it crosses the demo period. So cant use it now.
    GIMP is good, has many features. IBut for now I was actually looking for some easy wizard type thing to quickly make some logo, button and icon. But yes, GIMP is a good software.

    Photoshop itself has abilities to create icons. There is a ".ico" plug in for photoshop that allows you to open, edit, or create icon images.

    Illustrator is a lot better for that than Photoshop, when designing logos you will often be expected to provide them in vector and you can't do that with Photoshop.

    Aviary.com has a tool called Phoenix. It's like Photoshop, but runs right in your browser. It's free, and one of the best tools out there. They also have a tool like Illustrator, and are coming out with some more tools soon.

    Amen. Illustrator is slightly harder to get used to but the end product is a lot better and much easier to edit / resize.

    A lot of designers use Photoshop so they are not vector, so be one step ahead of them ;)
