Are people seriously tring to sell this info? Take a look at any MySpace train site that's working and the "fix" is pretty evident. Just submit the form to "bulletin.edit" instead of "bulletin.confirm". I don't imagine that MySpace wants to stop people from being able to compose bulletins off site. They just don't want people to be able to auto submit a bulletin without the sender's explicit permission. I already fixed my train at krustie.com or you can look at makeatrain.com.

You do need to send it to bulletin.confirm if you want it to be only one click post, bulletin.edit is the initial form you get through myspace that will force you to go to bulletin.confirm anyway.

There was never a "fix" needed for myspace trains.

Some facts about myspace bulletin advertising.

• Bulletins do not "automatically repost themselves
• You cannot place the bulletin.confirm/edit page within an frame or iframe with out using an anti-frame busitng code. (adding security=restricted into the frame tag)
• Theres a big difference between bulletin advertising and bulletin trains
• If you pay more than 0$ for a bulletin code you are mentally handicapped. Just go to the myspace bulletin.edit page, and hit view source. Use CSS to hide the whole form except for the submit button
• It's not 'illegal' to post adsense on myspace. It's jscript in general that is blocked. I have a google search on my myspace page
• Your amount of myspace friends does not determine how successful your myspace bulletin method will work
• Do not create a website that says "to get this non-existent myspace feature re-post this bulletin". eventually people will catch on that your scamming their butts.
• make sure your website is appropriate for this method. Don't advertise your mesothelioma facts website on myspace. Think about your audience
• My final suggestion: Cross your fingers

I think it is partially dependent on how succesful your the bulletin is, especially for a myspace related site.

35k people? So, people that are trying this out here have around 35k people in their myspace profiles?

 

I only had 330 some friends and it worked for me.

 

Back to the point (that I care about) - if you send out a bulletin to all 35,000 of your friends that says "go to my website and click this" or "..go to this website and do that" .. wont the "Invalid clicks" email soon follow?

 

You dont tell your surfers to do anything. When they click the link in myspace, they automatically forward your bulletin to all their friends list, and load your site at the same time.

So, the propagation of your bulletin is viral and you get a lot of visitors to your site from the link.

At least, thats what I understood from this thread.

 

You are never asking a user to click your ads. In fact you can do this without even using adsense or any revenue service. It's all about generating traffic.

Quick question: I noticed the "Mytoken" variable being passed when the form is generated on myspace.com. What does this do? Would eliminating it cause the form not post properly (assuming everything else, like the hash, is all correct)?

It's not how many friends you have (although you'll want at least 25 to get it started), it's the fact that each of your friends then reposts the bulletin to all of their friends, and so on. Assume each friend has 50 friends (which is a low number =P) and that 1/10 of all who view bulletin repost it (and view your site, again this is a low number):

1 user posts bulletin to his / her 50 friends
10 of those friends repost bulletin to 500 friends total
100 of those friends repost bulletin to 5000 friends total
1000 ... 50000
10,000... 500,000
100,000... 5,000,000

After just a depth of six posts, you've got five million people potentialling viewing your bulletin and seeing your site. I've greatly minimized all of those numbers as well. I'd actually assume that they are closer to 150 friends on average per user and that 1/5 of people viewing bulletin repost it.
