The Best Content Mangment System

I'm not a huge fan of Wordpress. I must say, Habari is a great blog CMS. It's a small player in the CMS war, but it sure packs a punch.

It is noticeably faster than Wordpress (on my shared hosting) and runs only on PHP5's strict Object Oriented Programming - the cause of most of the speed-up. It also supports SQLite & PostgreSQL along with MySQL, and uses the Atom publishing platform. It's really worth a try.

Joomla! is my other CMS of choice (if I need more extensions and features).

 

I tried only Pligg CMS & I liked it.

 

Pligg is a very specialized CMS... I don't really think there is anything out there PHP-based competing with it.

 

I prefer Wordpress primarily because of the security horrors I've heard from friends on Joomla.

 

I once ran a Joomla site myself - it was awesome. It was heavily used. Had great Google SEO. Was actually easy to use and customise....and then, it too, was hacked and to be honest, was far too much hassle for me to fix. So I totally abandoned something that was really special to me.

Since then I have not touched a CMS...until I recently got thinking about a new concept. I was going to go back to Joomla, as overall, 90% of the experience was positive....and I was just going to invest more time into pre-anticipating possible security threats.

Now, I think I may have a look into this Drupal thing.

Out of interest, could you point out some big players using Drupal?

 

NIKE.com? Is that Drupal or Joomla?

 

I believe MTV.co.uk, though plenty of custom stuff in there I imagine...

Listen . Had the joomla been soooo unsecure Like others say. Nobody in this world would be using it.
Dont worry everything in this worl is hackable.
If you like joomla go ahead and discover it. You shouldnt be stopped by others comments.

As a personal issue I started my journey with joomla because of fantastic templates available. I go ahead and .... starting feeling joomla wont let me do what I want. Then came Drupal. Man it rocks.
I havent looked at any other CMS from then. Its so modular,highly configurable.. I love drupal.
