Only money will answer them :)
Just tell them how much you make. They will open their mouth :)

I'm just newbie, I make hardly 2$ per day from online, but I'm just 15. My biggest dream is to be able earn money online more than people who has "real" job before I'm 18. I'm just too lazy to work 8 hours per day to make someone else rich, while I have hardly money to pay my bills. That's called capitalism, and it sucks.

Bosnjak i wish i was 15 and learning things from this forum, you will learn a hell of a lot if you stay on here, dont listen to what other people say, stay focused and im sure you will do just fine at 18!

I'm 16 and do get told a lot that I should get a part-time job while in school instead of 'sitting at home and playing the computer'. My parents believe that because I never see the money (tied up in PayPal, internet banking etc) that I do not earn money or that 'it doesn't exist'.

However, I run a successful internet business selling on eBay and have fortnighly sales figures of just below $2,000. Not too sure how one defines a 'real job' but making money online is definately a contender.

Stocks trading is also being seen in the same light and I also hear a lot, to do some real job instead of stocks trading.....

Now...even when I have taken up this online business...people's opinion have not changed !!!! :(

That happens to Aussie! I thought many people in europe and australia are so advanced and were very common earning online and nobody would question going to 9 -5 job. Think of situation in developing countries. People (above 50yrs of age) still dont know how to send email.

    As of making money...

I was criticized by parents for not going to day job. I showed them my first $600 check and they kept quiet. Think of many millions youtube, myspace, facebook like sites make. Those were all started by kids like you.

Even when i was a kid at younger age, i pulled of some $$$ that i desperately needed. That kind of money helped my parents a lot back then in 2002. This cant all possible with 9-5 job. Since then i never turned back :D

With that being said i am happy now :) with what i my make.

Ha, I hear this from people almost every day. They just don't get it. If i was lazy, I'd get a job. But since I'm not, I'm going to work way harder to try to figure out how to make a ton of money and under my own terms.

Not enough. Currently I'm at a monthly cashflow of -$2000 and burning through savings fast. I'm hoping to make that a positive number sometime in the next few months.

yep,I get that from my mum.
I tried a year ago to make some money but failed.kinda hard when dealing with wisdom tooth problems and studying a course. But now i am free to make money online(for various reasons i dont want to disclose)..and so I will try yet again to make a living off the net, becuase of necessity.

It's going to be hard to justify to her not going out and getting a job. Her typical line to me is "you have to get out the house more".
Yea well,to socialise and do anything costs money. kinda hard when i'm saving money. I rely on public transport and so the moment i need to go anywhere ..even to go shopping..costs money.
    I do want do tai chi classes,but i'll need a car..so it's a catch 22.
Anyway,i can't wait for the day when i am making enough to help mum out,and prove what i believe,Which is making enough money online to live off of.
Lately i've been thinking maybe i should get a job...but the idea repulses me. I just cannot stand the thought of putting money in other peoples pockets.
I know being your own boss, the stress is more...but at least i am in control of that stress and if i know i have made correct decisions then i 'own' that stress. Whereas some people are in highly stressful jobs-and what? all to make the boss rich. my uncle for example brings in well over $1million in sales contracts for his company he works for,and yet the stress in that place is enormous. -and he hates the place. He is still there becuase of a mortgage.
I think I'd rather be paid for stress that was my decision, not forced onto me by others.

    thanks for inspiration!!

My goal is to earn at least $400 week with it increasing more over time.

Ha ha ha ha. It is soooo funny you brought this up. I just recently started making money online, and I LOVE IT> I am my own boss, and I get to get daily paychecks wired to my bank account. But my mother is old fashioned and she doesn't understand how I could be making money online. Shes like, you need a real job! I'm like, huh. I'm not asking anybody for anything, so this is my job! Thank you. Yeah...but I get that a lot too. I would just brush the hater off and laugh to the bank! :)

This is happening because the people are jealous!!

They have to wake up early in the morning, drive to work, work at least for 8 hours per day for at least 5 or 6 days a week.
If you need to "work", dont work for others, earn and open your own business!

i have to listen to this everyday from my sister and my mom. "when are you going to get a job"? "i'm gonna go find you a job" "when are you going back to college?" i left college mid semester this year because i almost went insane from doing calculations and realizing that i wasn't going to make any money when i was done with college. it scared me thinking that i would have to work 9-5 and slave for a boss just to make a maximum of 100 grand a year which is nothing today. my mom hates her job, works from 6 am to 4 pm everyday making 75 grand a year. they call her everyday when she's at home asking her to solve some more problems, and she basically slaves for the job. yet she continues to annoy me about how i need to get a job or go to college. i decided that i'd rather run my own site and make money instead of listening to people complain about how their jobs suck.

You get that a lot before you start making real money, and then it changes to, "You know, I always knew you were gonna be successful." and stuff like that.

Having a "real job" is NOT the way to go. I quit my job 6 months ago to go at this full time and have enjoyed 20% increases in revenue every month so far. I am now making more than I was at that silly "Desk Job". I would have sat around waiting for my measly 5% raise each year, but only if I did a lot of kissing up...
